Join us for a spectacular evening of fun for the whole family at Moon Lake Park which is located on Airport Road off Summerville Road, and is part of the beautiful historic Idle Hour Park. Each year, the Parks and Recreation Department, local businesses, churches, schools, and civic organizations decorate around Moon Lake for the holidays. The decorations stay lit until January 1.
The opening night carnival will be on Thursday, December 10, from 4 to 9 p.m. We will have carnival rides, train rides, a hay ride, live entertainment from local churches and school groups, various activities sponsored by local businesses and school groups, a puppet show from Heath and the Checker Shoe Band, and a fabulous food court. Admission is free, but some activities will require a small fee. A shuttle will be available to bring our guests to the park from the parking lots of Garrett-Harrison Stadium and Idle Hour Sports Complex to Moon Lake. Please call 334-291-4719, for further information or if you would like to volunteer to decorate or host an activity.
