“Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see” – Mark Twain
Compassion Day is a day to come together as a community and share kindness, share compassion towards others, and share our thanks and appreciation with no ulterior motives other than hoping one simple act can brighten the lives of many. People often forget that kindness is FREE. Kindness is CONTAGIOUS. Kindness can change lives. When you have love and compassion in your heart, you have an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. You must learn to follow that love. Act on it. Somebody needs what you have.
Join Mayor Eddie Lowe, along with the Russell County Retired Teachers Association, and Share a Coke with Phenix City…for no other reason than being kind. The compassion-filled day will include school performances, guest speakers, and FREE hot dogs and Coca-Cola for the first 4,000 event goers.
You will never regret being kind, so sprinkle it everywhere.
